I'M MOVING TO GERMANY FROM TEXAS! I was born and raised in Texas, and lived there all my life. My husband's work has recently brought us to Germany, and I have fallen in love with this beautiful country and her lovely people. I am sharing my experiences here with all who share my enchantment with this old and wonderful place.

Our Church in Germany is Family
Since moving to Germany Randy and I have been attending Immanuel Baptist Church in Wiesbaden. We have made so many new friends there who support and love us. We love them as well, they are now family, forever family, and if you are looking for a place to attend church in the Wiesbaden area, please consider our new "home church."
This past Sunday our church held a baptismal service and three were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, celebration and worship. My husband Randy made several wonderful photos of the service.
My friend Tracy was baptized as a child, but wished to be once again baptized as an adult in order to make known that she too is a follower of Jesus. I will serve as her mentor over the next year, which will be easy, as we are the best of friends.
Our Pastor, Brother Nick, did such a wonderful job of explaining baptism, and performing the ceremony. The time of fellowship after the service was especially blessed. The wonderful circle of friends at our church in Germany will always be such an important part of our lives.

Now Germany, This is What I'm Talking About
I have missed one thing in Germany so much... Tex-Mex food. Posados Cafe is located at 6770 Fossil Bluff in Ft. Worth, Texas, and they are the real deal!
A proper Tex-Mex restaurant has good lighting!
A really cool wall mural...
Wild decor...
However, the most key element to knowing whether you are in a great Mexican restaurant is the chips and salsa which is ALWAYS served free of charge.
This place has the very light, perfectly fried and salted chips, with perfectly seasoned salsa! So yum! Those complimentary sopapllias served at the end end with the complimentary ice cream just synches the deal. Then the manager walks to your table with "10% discount cards" for your next visit! We will be making a next visit!

Just add Family!

The Spring Flowers Are a Part of Every Household
In Germany you find two things everywhere you go. The people here love baked goods and flowers, and there are little bake shops and florist shops everywhere, and every balcony, yard, and porch is adorned with flowers!
Of course there is always someone taking care of all these beautiful things,
helping them to grow,,like my lovely neighbor does!

Took in a Little of Poland Last Week
We went on a mission trip to Poland last week with our church, Immanuel Baptist, and we had a wonderful time at a place called Elim Christian Center! It is an old palace built in the 1500's, and it is being faithfully restored by those who live and work there now. It is a beautiful and ancient place where long those living there have loved and served the Lord God, but it has also had dark and sad days as well.

Many are fed daily in this large kitchen, which is between the two doors,
but that isn't all of the work that goes on there!

It's April Fools Day, and Snowing in Germany!
I planted my garden, it has been warm and sunny, the daffodils are up
and blooming, and ... it is snowing in Germany! It isn't sticking, and
the sun just came out again, but it was snowing in Germany. The weather
has been beautiful, sunny and warm, and then the wind started blowing a
couple of days ago... and snow on April Fool's Day!
Now the sun is shinning... never mind...
