We just got back from a week in Italy.  If you can only make one trip in your life... Italy should be on your short list!  These first photos are from a little cafe in an alleyway.  It was so charming, we ate there after they opened.

Ludwig Picked a Breath Taking Site For His Castle

We first noticed the elevations begin to change as we drove toward Ludwig's castle.

 We began to see mountains in the distance...

The closer we got the more rugged the mountains became!

Then in the distance we first saw the castle...

When we arrived on the mountain and the views were spectacular looking down to the valley below!

On My Doll Blog, I Have a New Activity

I call it where in Germany are Debra's Life Size Barbies...

I brought a lot of my Barbie collection to Germany to share with the little girls here in Germany, Military families, and families from the State Department.  I have started taking them to all the places we visit and photographing them.  It is great fun, and seems very popular with those who visit that blog.  Here is a little sample of that fun project!

The Barbies make wonderful ambassadors with the children who delight in them on the buses and trains, and everywhere that we visit.

These are photos made near our ranch in Texas.  It is getting time for the spring wild flowers again.  They should be beautiful this year.  We have had a lot of rainfall this winter.  Last spring I found these horses grazing in a pasture of yellow flowers about a mile from our house.  I never tire of looking at these photos.
