I Signed This Petition for Many Reasons

I signed the following petition on Change.org for many reasons, the first being the husband and wife, who are a mother and father, and who have been imprisoned in Qatar without cause.  For them, for their children, and for the people of the Middle East, and those countries of the Middle East who desire to rise and take their place of honor in our world, I signed this petition.

For whatever reason, this complete injustice, (the reasons seem fairly apparent to me as being prejudice, corruption, and blatant bias,) has been committed against this family who saw opportunity and a happy life being available in the country of Qatar.

Of course no one, nor any other government of the world really has any say so in what the country of Qatar does... but the people of that country do...  I KNOW there are good men and women in that country with the leadership skills, integrity, power, and honor to change this situation without the consideration of anyone or anything outside of their country interfering, bringing pressure, or in any other way influencing the justice system of Qatar from the outside.

I call upon those favored and blessed of God men and women of Qatar to move to do before the world what is right and just, and to, for the sake of the honor and reputation of their country and their people exert the power of their own righteousness before God and man, and free the man and woman, who are husband and wife, mother and father, to innocent children, and restore this family, and the reputation before the world of Qatar and her people.  May your country be favored and blessed by God for the honor of those who serve in your country who are devoted to Qatar and her people.  The road which Qatar takes in this matter will be observed by myself, and the entire world. May God guide you all wisely, for ultimately, that is to whom we all must answer.

I Love the Beach!

I love going to the beach.  Where we live in Texas, it is about two hours to Galveston Island, and lots of beach, fishing, sailing boats, and plenty of sea gulls and sea shells.  

I wonder what the beaches will be like in Kuwait?

Washington, Do You Hear My Voice?

One of my dearest friends in this world is the widow of General Mohammad Daud Daud.  I have come through her eyes to know what an honorable and courageous man he was.  I have come to know as well the leadership which he not only exhibited every day on the job, but lived behind closed doors at home.  True character really is what you do when no one is watching.  Afghanistan lost one of her finest sons on May 28, 2011.  We are leaving Afghanistan soon, this country must have those sons and daughters supported who are willing to rise up in the same honor and devoted service to Afghanistan that my dear friend's husband lived and died in.

It Keeps Raining and Raining Here

It makes the woods and pond so beautiful in the evening... the green of the woods is so deep.

These Little Lizards Are Everywhere at the Ranch

This is a common lizard with little sticky feet which I see eating bugs every Spring and Summer on my kitchen window.  One year at Christmas my grand-son Tristen caught one of these little fellows and he received a glass aquarium to keep him in.  He lived for about two years in the aquarium, which was quite remarkable I thought. I wonder what king of lizards I will see at my new home in Kuwait?  I think I will do some research, and I promise I will post pictures of the lizards I find in my yard when I arrive in Kuwait.  Does anyone know what kind of lizards are found in Kuwait?

I Saw Heaven Today, Just a Glimpse...

I just heard the most incredible recorded conversation between a mother and her two children, a little girl and a little boy.  She is the widow of a fallen Soldier, and one of my dearest friends in this world. The little girl is singing a song she has spontaneously made up about her father... it is full of joy, yet talks of wanting him to come back to her family where they love him so much, and miss him.  She talks of wanting to "squeeze him again."
